·         38.30 is the sample intercept (a)

o   You can ignore the rest of the first row

·         1.03 is the sample slope (b)

o   So our equation is: predicted height = 38.30 + 1.03 footlength

·         0.24 is the “standard error” (read “standard deviation”) of the sample slope. It measures the sample to sample variation in the sample slopes.

·         4.29 is the standardized statistic = (observed slope – 0)/std dev of slope

4.29 = (1.03 – 0)/.24

·         0.0004 is the two-sided p-value [H0:  = 0 vs. Ha:   0]
