Simulation

One way to carry out this simulation would be to put each student's improvement score on an index card, shuffle them up, deal them out to two groups, and then calculate the resulting simulated difference in the sample means. Then repeat this process many times. The following applet replicates this process.

(f) After completing the applet instructions, make a screen capture of the null distribution, with the p-value information, and add it to your report. Also identify the components of the simulation (the null hypothesis, what each repetition represents, what statistic is being calculated).
